WHO THE PROGRAM ADDRESSES
The open call addresses music journalists, critics, essayists, reviewers, reporters, editors, broadcasters, podcasters, video essayists, cultural researchers, and other practitioners interested in examining the philosophical premises and public consequences of their work. Practices may be based in print, digital publishing, radio, audio, video, independent platforms, institutional media, scholarly contexts, or multiple media. This range is indicative rather than exhaustive.
Projects may begin from an article, series, publication, broadcast, podcast, editorial model, archive, research problem, professional dilemma, or broader critical trajectory. Applicants may be emerging or established, independent or institutionally affiliated. Participants should be prepared to present work in progress, engage closely with others, revise positions in response to discussion, and contribute actively to a collective research environment.
The programme does not require a complete philosophy of music journalism. Its purpose is to establish conditions under which philosophical positions can be articulated, tested, differentiated, and developed through practice. Intellectual curiosity, ethical attentiveness, critical openness, and commitment to sustained exchange are therefore as important as the visibility or current state of any individual project.
